Can't Live Without; Ultra Dependable.
on December 29, 2016

I have used Duracell's for as long as I can remember using batteries. They have never failed to offer ultra-long power. Most importantly, I had them "imported" to Peru by friends when I was a foreign correspondent so I could use the batteries in my professional recorder in order to tape interviews, gather sound and produce my reports. Peru sold them at exorbitant prices because of import taxes so everytime a friend visited from other countries, I had them stuff their luggage. The Duracells almost always cost more than other brands, sometimes substantially so, but they last much longer, and it's that dependability that is so crucial. I've used them in all sizes for items ranging from electronic remotes to battery-powered razors to old-style Walkman music players, and from flashlights to sometimes critical hurricane lanterns. I depended upon the latter items while living in Florida for many years because of the many storms that took out the power. I stocked up on many D's, in particular, for lanterns and lights. In those and other cases, when kept in uncommonly used devices, I've found the alkalines rarely crust over, although it has happened on occasion. I don't think they've ruined a single item in all my decades of professional and personal use. I've had to use and/or tried less-expensive batteries and there's a clear difference in strength, and therefore reliability. In rare cases in life, you find an almost-perfect item upon which to rely. To me, the alkaline Duracells are must-haves, and you can believe me when I say no one ever paid or even approached me to test these.

I have endless problems with these Duracell batteries leaking and destroying my appliances. The latest item to be ruined is my LED Laser T7 torch - see photos attached. I don't seem to have the same problem when I use other branded batteries Please advise

This truly is the battery that goes on and on!!!

Duracell has always been my battery of choice and on yesterday (11/26/17), when after all these years, I had to finally replace the batteries in Mr. Talking Mailbox, I was super surprised to see that the batteries were still in excellent condition, not an ounce of corrosion. It was simply amazing! My daughter was 5 years old when I bought this christmas decor; she is now 23. This is the 1st time we've ever changed his batteries. The mailbox batteries are used often during the season, as it activates conversation anytime someone comes near it or the wind blows hard. Note: I did have a pair of Energizer batteries in my kitchen drawer, but they could not be used, as they had lots of corrosion and these were new batteries never used. Hmmmm, I guess that's why Duracell is my battery of choice. My husband must have bought the Energizers. LOL! We've replaced Mr. Mailbox with new Duracell's: Exp 2027, but I think they will most likely out last that time period as well. I guess when my grandchildren are 25, he will once again need to have his batteries replaced.Thank you Duracell! (i've attached pictures for proof)

Continual Leaking Batteries
on April 9, 2016

Duracells are pretty good in holding their charge over long periods of time. Have been using them for years. Unfortunately they have a habit of leaking. Has been the case for a good number of years. A couple of items had to be binned because of the damaged caused by leaking batteries. I have even sent packs of batteries, (in different sizes), back to Duracell because they were actually leaking inside their packs! Will have to look at other manufacturers as I think in this instance, Duracell, are getting a bit long in the tooth over these continuing leakage issues.

Batteries low after one month in remote
on March 17, 2020

I am highly disappointed. I'm getting a low battery signal in my remote after only having purchased a four pack of triple A batteries literally a month ago. The crazy thing is I rarely watch the TV/use the remote that's providing the low signal. Guess I have to go waste money or another set of batteries.

Batteries that now corrode!

I always thought that Duracell batteries were the best. Now I find that you can buy packs with batteries that have already started to corrode. Batteries that still have 7 years of a 10 year guarantee to run.
