Duracell batteries NEVER used to leak! Now they are giving their nearest competitor a challenge for the worst batteries ever. Duracell,l if you are monitoring you need to figure out what the problem is. Your reputation is ruined!

Leaked in Multiple Devices and in the box!

I've lost two LED flashlights to these batteries and now my FM transmitter for the car. An unused four pack even leaked in the box. On top of that two C-Cells leaked in an antique View-Master and ruined that on me. Why haven't I learned my lesson yet?

I can't tell you how many of my items have been victim to leaking Duracell batteries over the past two years. They used to be good but something has changed, I think I will change brands also, sick of this constant problem.

Why pay premium for batteries that leak.

I used to believe their commercials, it was worth to pay premium for batteries that can work in harsh environments, that had to work when you need them most (that flashlight in your car when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere). The ones emergency personnel trust. Etc. Just found my 2 AA Maglite with 2 corroded batteries I can not even remove, then checked, and found: LED lamp with 4 AA corroded batteries Photography Flash unit with 4AA corroded batteries My spare car pack (4AA) 2 corroded. Sharp Home stereo remote 2AA corroded

What changed

Over the years I've used Duracell products and was real happy with them. I've noticed that recently these batteries tend to leak. I see quality has gone out the door and cheap practices have taken place. You should change your name from Duracell to Duraleak.

Leaked and ruined my flashlight.

I had no intention to write a review but came across this page looking for the claims page or address which seems to be hard to find. Anyway the Duracell batteries leaked and ruined my flashlight. Apparently this is common.

Batteries go bad in storage!
on January 27, 2018

I buy the bulk back of batteries at a box stored, however, I find that some go bad before I can use them even though the date to use them buy is 2023! The store will not do anything about it, but this happens often enough that the batteries are becoming expensive. I am going to research batteries for another brand.
