Very Leaky Batteries
on September 22, 2016

Over the past 5 years my experience in Florida has been of substantial electrolyte leakage and some damage to equipment. The competitor warrants no leaks from his batteries. The batteries perform well except for leakage and damaging equipment.

Corroding battery

I believed the marketing of the Duracell batteries until recently. Had the battery corrode on the negative end of a single battery AA battery Cree LED flashlight. When I needed it it would not work. Had a difficult time removing the battery and cleaning up the flashlight. As I was prying out the light the light lit up so the battery was not dead, just leaking. The way button works I don't see a slow drain on the battery to have caused the battery to go bad. Had used the flashlight a month before this and it was fine and bright.

Purchased a package of 32 AAA batteries guaranteed for 10 years to 2024. They all test to only 1.4 volts brand new, fresh out of the box, in 2017.

AAA,AA have high incidents of leakage

I'm a heavy user of AA AAA and 9 Volt batteries. Until recently I've been a big fan of duracell batteries. They were the best. There's been a very noticeable degradation in the build quality. The AA and AAA batteries are very susceptible to leakage & destruction of the devices that they are enclosed in. I'm looking into alternative sources of batteries. Duracell has passed it's prime.

Another double A battery leaked. This time the mess is worse. I cannot afford to use your batteries. I guess since only one of the two leaked, only fifty percent were leaking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use AA batteries for my Xbox controller and have to change them out monthly. I’ve had these batteries in the controller about a month and they still have lots of juice left. These will be my new go to batteries.
