An awesome new shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the shipping box, I was immediately impressed with the overall design of the LX180. The design is sleeker, appears to be more compact than 79Ci. I thought the credit card flap would be missed, but actually liked the lack of the flap. Ideally with small children around and their infinite level of curiosity its removal is one less item to tempt them. As a shredder it is much quieter and a workhorse, I tend to shred bi-weekly or stretch it out further depending on the amount paper, etc that I need to shred. With other models continuous use usually trigger jams or overheating. This was not something I immediately experience with the LX180. The added feature of stables as an additional shredding option is a big plus as documents tend to either come stabled due their delivery or paperwork in house that has been stabled to keep collectively don't require the need for a stapler remover to effectively shred those documents. I honestly tested this feature several times, but of with any product didn't want to overdo it. A great additional feature. I like the icons that denote operations/status. The Forward/Reverse arrows are a cool touch. Overall this is an exceptional shredder that offers a user all they can ask for in a more well-designed package. For me, it's a definite keeper and I look forward to its usage. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Excellent shredder

This shredder is a workhorse that can handle marathon shredding sessions and has been jam proof thus far. My daughter accidently dropped a hairpin in with some shredding - no jams, no issues. The Perfect Shredder!!!

It’s a Beast!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit itself is very large. It shreds multiple sheets with ease. It is very quiet, much quieter than my old shredder. The auto stop feature is nice since I have 4 grandkids under the age of 7. It doesn’t take long after fingers are moved away for it to restart again.

Well Designed

It is quieter than my other shredder which is nice when people are working side by side and someone needs to shred documents. I also like the sleek design of the machine. My only issue, if you can even call it that, is the feed direct buttons are hard to see initially because they are the same color as the shredder. Even with this cosmetic issue, the functionality of the machine is impressive and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a shedder to use in a home office. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Fellowes LX180 is by far the best shredder we have ever used! The new features make shredding a fast, quiet & efficient process. We especially like the way the shredder senses and displays phases of the shredding process with its system of colored lights and symbols. Cool! Plus it's jam proof, shreds staples & is so quiet that you can easily have a conversation in person or on the phone. (It would be nice to have a clear panel in the shredder bin, although, it really isn't necessary with the bin-full indicator.) Bottom line, it's the perfect shredder for our home business! Quiet, Modern, Sleek

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fellowes makes great shredders. This may be my favorite shredder for my home office of all time. It has a slender and attractive footprint for its bin capacity with gentle and modern lights that indicate when it is shredding. I also like the modern lines and gentle sounds it makes. For a workhorse of a machine, it is delightfully simple and safe. The peace of mind that comes with SafeSense that guards our fingers is worth it, especially for an item that can shred through credit cards and staples. My other favorite feature is the efficiency meter. This will indicate if you can add more sheets of paper to the mouth of the device! Brilliant. If you are looking for a hassle-free investment for your home office, that is efficient and functional plus easy on the eyes, this is definitely it.

And I really shouldn't be surprised, Fellowes makes some great products. The LX180 with Intellibar is a powerful shredder that's simple, easy to use, and fast. I"ve been personally using the shredder for over a month and am always pleased with its performance. I also like the slick contemporary design and easy-rolling wheels make it very convenient. I am confident that this shredder will last a long time based on it early performance.
