Replaced a Xerox XRX-8X Shredder

This shredder replaced a Xerox XRX-8 shredder. It is much faster and more compact.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Warranty, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance

Replaces former shredder

Our original Fellowes crosscut shredder was a workhorse for about 8 years. When it finally failed due to overloading, there was no question - the replacement had to be a Fellowes.The new one is a refinement of our original and hopefully will give us the service equal to or better than our previous Fellowes shredder. It appears to be even more substantially built than it's predecessor.
Pros: Quality Construction, Secure Cut Size
Cons: Quiet Operation

Powerful Cross Cut Shredder

Far exceeds our old shredder. It even cuts up credit cards and CDs quickly and efficiently into bite size pieces. Easy setup. Website offers troubleshooting help altho I doubt you'll need it. Customer service phone number readily available for answering questions, replacing parts, etc. I definitely recommend this product.

Stopped working shortly after 1 year

We have a small office of 4 people. We do not shred tons of documents on a daily basis. Maybe 1-10 per day at different intervals. We took proper care of the machine following it's care and cleaning instructions with the proper oil. However, it decided to not shred anymore shortly after 1 year of use, and will barely pull the document down and if it does it goes sideways. Just wish it would of lasted longer than one year. Not a horrible product just disappointing. And overall it is a really loud machine.

Cons: Quiet Operation, Jam Resistance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement shredder

I bought this as a replacement for my old Fellowes shredder that died after over 10 years of heavy use. In the short time I've had this one it has been great!
Pros: Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Warranty, Secure Cut Size
Cons: a little loud

Frankly, I only use it for a few times after I purchased it. But so far it looks good, it is reasonably quiet and smooth during cutting. I hope it will last long for me. I would like to have a longer manufacturer warranty.

A Happy Purchase!

Good weight to the machine but would like some kind of handle's so it could be moved easier. Find it a little noisy but it does a great job of shredding staples and have to try a credit card one day! The safety features are great to have since there are kids and pets around. The warranty is fair, and it gives me a great feeling of safety that my documents are shredded and can't be put together so easy! Over all I love the Fellow's Shredder!
