Good shredder

This one seems much better than my last. Quality built. Safety features and handles more sheets so I can do task more quickly.
Pros: Jam Resistance, Quality Construction, Quiet Operation, Safety Features, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs

Died 6 months after warranty

Used this shredder on a weekly basis for minimal home use only. It died within 1.5 years. I am disappointed that I spent this much for a shredder that died so quickly.
Pros: Safety Features, Secure Cut Size
Cons: Warranty, Quality Construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement shredder

I had an old shredder for years. It was cumbersome and slow, and if jammed, required manual unjamming. I just received this unit now. It works well (I usually put only 6 sheets at a time although it is rated at 10) and it works perfectly. I have tried its safety measures (although tentatively) and they appear to work as advertised. For a home unit somewhat better than the most basic units, I would recommend this shredder.

Cons: in its instructions it states it doesn't shred cd

Quality Product

This is a good quality shredder with good capabilities and features for the price paid. It performs according to the specification stated. It will take care of most jobs that are needed for home use.
Pros: Quality Construction, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Sheet Capacity, Warranty
Cons: a bit noisy during operation, window is too dark to see bin fill level

My 5th Shredder

I am a shredding fanatic. If it has my name or address on it, I shred it. Over the years I have burned up 4 previous shredders. A couple cheap ones from the big box stores, a low grade one that said I could shred cd's but jammed on a checkbook binding ( I won't be trying that one again). I was at an office supply store and saw this model. I have a young grandson who wanders in the room while I am shredding and I really like the safety feature that it will shut down if it comes in contact with a hand. I have had this shredder for a few weeks, but have put it through the tests. I look forward to years of shredding. Thanks fellowes!

Great product, haven't had any issues with the machine and hope it stays that way. "Auto" works great, and very safe. detects skin and will not operate. Very impressed with this purchase and will most certainly recommend to others. Thanks

New Fellowes Shredder

Bought this to replace previous shredder that broke. This one is much faster, does more sheets at one time, has a larger shredder basket, and does credit cards (which I have not tried yet, but looking forward to that option). It was a very simple setup and am totally enjoying using it and finally being able to shred everything when needed. No longer have to box up "to be shredded" to be burned in our fireplace in the winter :)

Cons: wish it had a longer warranty
