Flawless Sound

Purchased the Sennheiser Gen. 4 was so impressed I bought my Sister a pair before the Update which drastically improved features and bass response. Musical response is epic and Gaming with zero latency gives a proper soundstage for response.

Sennheiser should be ashamed

I have always been a loyal fan of Sennheiser, having used both the second and third generations of their TW series, but the fourth generation has really taken me by surprise, and not in a good way—it's almost like a downgrade. It lacks the sound clarity of the third generation, introduces background noise, the bass has become weak and powerless, and the connection has also become unstable. Sennheiser should be ashamed.

Sounds great but has some connectivity issues.

The sound quality is fantastic when it works. I frequently have connectivity issues. One or both earbuds will randomly drop connection sometimes and the only way I've found to fix it is by putting them back in the case. It is very frustrating to be forced to carry my case with me while wearing them. Also, when in transparency mode I'll occasionally get popping sounds that hurt my ears at times.

I’ve preordered the last two editions of the MTW lineup, MTW2 and MTW3. The MTW2 was horribly made but had the best sound quality by far of any of its counterparts at the time. MTW3 build quality was a bit better, has lasted me 2 years on my first pair. It was well worth the upgrade from the MTW2 in terms of usability, sound quality and the Smart Control app UI was much improved to customize your buds. Having nearly a week with the MTW4, there’s nothing here that justifies the upgrade. Slight improvements here and there with ANC and Transparency Mode but nothing worth the price tag attached. I’d only recommend these buds if you are upgrading from MTW2 to MTW4. Very disappointed in getting a slightly better version of the MTW3, after 2 years since the last edition. Only good thing I have to say is the improvements to the lows/mids make the experience more punchy which I am a fan of. As a customer with history of Sennheiser products, I expected a lot more; not an 660S2 type upgrade.

Best audio, mid Bluetooth

I bought them 3 months ago and use them for both music and work calls. Pro: the audio quality is the best I've ever had from earbuds.
Con: Bluetooth kinda sucks, it's common for me to have to try multiple times to get them to connect to my phone. And sometimes the audio jumps back a half second or drops out like it's failing to pick up on the BT data from the phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good fit and good sound but.......

Purchased the TW4's a couple of years ago. They had very good sound and a good comfortable fit/seal. Unfortunately not too long out of warranty, I experienced a problem where they suddenly stopped taking a charge. I contacted Sennheiser support who advised me they were broken, and furthermore that Sennheiser does not repair earbuds that are out of warranty, even at a cost. She advised me my only option was to purchase new ones. Surprisingly, she did not offer any discount on my purchase. I later found out this problem is not uncommon to the TW4's. Needless to say, I did not replace them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
