Bad instructions

Have been trying to set up the Shark but the instructions are lousy. The Shark went around the house but the image looks nothing like the house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with a robot vacuum but the shark has exceeded what I thought possible. It somehow maps out the rooms and builds a map, then vacuums daily. I have a Shepard and the fur is a challenge that requires lots of cleaning. The shark explores and leaves nothing behind without a thought. It even gets into corners and against walls. The mop is even better and leaves the floor clean and dry. I can never go back to doing it myself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So the shark clean works well I would like to see some firmware updates for it. It need to map the area better and allow you to understand the map better. The map should do better job identifying different locations in the house. Such as bedroom kitchen living room. It’s hard to distinguish on the map which area of the house. It would also be nice to see location of shark on map while it’s working. That would help you create a zone better and identify the location better

Shark Robot AI Great machine

We purchased this AI with the self emoting disposal system about 3 months ago. After a little working with the app we got the map of our main floor the way we thought it should look.
We have an older log cabin with heart pine floors and it does an excellent job cleaning and actually makes the floors look polished.
We pick up all the in puppy toys and move a couple chairs so it can get behind the furniture close to the walls one week then leave the furniture in place the next. With both of us involved in so many retirement projects it has greatly free up the ime for us during the week probably close to 2 hours a week.
Would love to purchase one for the upstairs but have not yet.

You can set it in another room like our closed in porch and it will clean it too but you have to put it back on the dock station.
We clean it every couple of weeks to keep it in top working order similar to cleaning any vacuum we blow out the filters clean out the collection bin
We are super pleased with the AI ROBOT

I’ve been using this robot for 1 week now, and I really like it so far. The mapping was good enough, and I’m still perfecting it by adding no-go areas, carpet areas, and things like that. I’m impressed on how well it picks up dust, pet’s hair and cat littler (one of the main reasons I got this). I thought that because of its rounded shape, it would not pick up well in the corners, but it does! The self emptying feature works very well, but it is noisy. The loud noise lasts for only a few seconds, but I wouldn’t run it if my kid was sleeping. I’ve used it multiple times during the day in the past week, and I would recommend that you select rooms instead of selecting the entire house at once. The battery will run out, and it will go back to the dock station for charging. Charging can take hours, and it will then resume, and pick up where it left off (if you enable this function in the app settings). I just don’t like that a room is half way cleaned, and it will take hours to get back to it. I’ve been then selecting groups of rooms at a time, and it has been the best strategy. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 toddler, and long hair myself. My house looks very nice now that the floors are vacuumed up. Plus, I do a better work about picking up things off the floors now too, so the vacuum can perform better. Because I have long hair, I decided to take a look at the brushes, and noticed that some hair was tangled in there. It was very easy to get that out, and I will do my best to do that once/week. I still need to try the mopping function (I haven’t had time yet). I only don’t give it a 5 star rating because it is louder than I expected it to be. Also, I wish it wasn’t so expansive. Other than that, I’m very happy with the purchase, and I’m glad I bought it!

Only had the unit for three weeks or so, so it will take more time to analyze its performance. However the unit does a decent job in both the vacuum and moping mode. The trick seems to be building a great map. After the first week I was able to get the unit where I wanted it in the house using the app. I probably will re-map the house at some point. The unit has definitely save me some time and work. If it mech⁴anically holds up and continues to clean as it does now, it will be worth the cost. I will probably review it again later.

Love our Shark mop & vacuum. It has an extra large dumpster. The mop works great, we have a pretty big home & we were able to not change the mop out each time it docked.

DOES NOT DEEP CLEAN!

We vacumned 3 times then got out our upright vac and vacuumed and mercy me we got all kinds of stuff the shark Al Ultra 2/1 robot xl missed! We're very dissapointed to say least! Me having copd i need a vac that gets the dirt and dust removed as good as possible and this doesn't do that at all!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please can I recommend, if you haven't done so already, changing the suction level to "MAX" via the app. This will increase the suction on your robot and allow it to collect the remaining dust satisfactorily. I would like to make you aware that by using the "MAX" mode, your battery runtime will naturally decrease a lot faster as the robot is drawing more power. Also, I would encourage you to save your updated cleaning preferences in the settings. This way the robot will always run in the suction mode specified by you.
