Super excited for this purchased based off the reviews. But I was highly disappointed that it does not map your home, does not give you notification or make a noise that is stuck, can't move under/around something, etc. Great suction and does pick up well.
I wanted a "dumb" robot vacuum that wouldn't be on my wifi, and the 11S Max has been very satisfactory. It will get stuck on cables, so I have to make sure all the speaker wires and power cords for my TV/stereo system are elevated before running it in my rec room. But it has picked up a surprising amount of fine dust and other dirt. I think it is a great supplement to regular vacuuming with a bag vac.
This thing is great. It cleans dirt and dog hair well from our mostly vinyl floors (with some rugs), navigates thresholds and obstacles successfully (but not without some difficulty), and has all the features we need. It has even helped us find a few things we lost under a dresser or the bed. I can't imagine a need for a super sophisticated machine when this works as well as it does.
She started working great immediately. We have named her Lucy. We had a hand-me-down robot vacuum cleaner that was a different brand (not a well-known name brand, but we named him Buzz) and he worked differently, in the sense that Buzz stuck to the same path each time he cleaned. Lucy has her own method that I haven't figured out yet, but she really gets our carpets and bare floors clean. Highly recommended for the price. We didn't want to use an app for vacuuming, so this model's perfect for older folks who aren't tethered to their phones at all times.
This is the second Eufy I've bought. Overall, I like it. What I don't like is that it gets stuck when trying to get back onto a Persian type rug, less than 1/4 inch thick. It will just sit there and spin. I think it should be able to mover onto rugs. Also, the new one only has 1 side brush, instead of 2 like my first one. Really, how much money does that save?
I had a Eufy 11S for years, it worked great, until it died. I ordered the 11S Max because it seemed like the same model with a little more power. What I did not know, and which would have been helpful for Eufy to explain a bit more, is that there are slightly different filters for the 11S and 11S Max. The 11S Max has the same paper filter as the 11s, but it's encased in plastic, which means that each time you replace the filter you are also throwing out a ton of plastic, and replacements are more expensive. The vacuum works great as I would expect, but just in case this review is helpful to others trying to decide between the 11S and 11S Max, I would have gone with the 11s again had I known.
