8 sheets of paper were too many. Also I couldn't place the paper straight in; it would get twisted and the shredder kept overheating and I had to stop for awhile. I finally got to the point where I folded the paper in half and it didn't overheat quite as often. I was very disappointed with this product.

Demon shredder

My unit is only on when I need to use it. Today after shredding a few sheets of paper, it would not stop. I shut it off and cleaned out the teeth and then it seemed fine. An hour later it started shredding again despite nothing being fed into it.
I also don't like that the opening is exactly the size of a sheet of paper, 8.5". Paper must be fed into it precisely to have the shredding begin.
I'll be returning it.

Shredder jammed on first use and I did not exceed 8 pages. First one side stopped working and then it stopped all together.

Having a small home office, and being a graduate student, I have a ton of papers - and this is the perfect size for making those go away and for not taking up a ton of room. I have been really pleased with this and it was a good purchase to make.

It works well and while having a smaller shredder is nice from a space standpoint it’s obviously not able to hold as much shredded paper as our previous shredder.

We are satisfied with the product. It’s a bit small in size and capacity but will meet our needs. Compact size and move ability is good for a home setting. It’s certainly strong enough and will shred thoroughly. Had to get used to the 20 minutes on/40 minutes rest pattern. Got it on sale so that’s a plus.
