My last shredder had lots of plastic paper separating fingers inside. Also the mechanical sense switch which after years of use (and gaurantee running out) I had to work on and get it to feel the input paper. This machine has a optical sensor nylon separation 'fingers' and metal parts inside! It can do paper scraps up to 12 sheets. GREAT !
The shredder I bought works as I expected it to. It’s easy and quite surprisingly not as loud as I thought it would be. My previous one was louder. Glad I bought it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the paper shredder cuts paper in small strips. I like that when you stop using it in turns off by it self and it also shreds credit cards pretty easy even though its thick and hard.
The one I had before would turn on automatically when you put paper in then the blue light would go off by itself. This one you have to slide the slider in one direction for on and the other way for off. I wish I'd spent a little more and done a bit more research before buying this one. It'll be fine for a few papers but not great if you have a bunch to shred.
For the price it's a good shredder. I find 4-6 pages works the best. No way it can handle 12 pages. I have a large shredding project but did not want to spend a lot when I will not have much use after I'm finish. It will over heat when I get to the 3rd full container of shredded paper. Patience and do not overfeed is key.
