I was very pleased with the Staples 8-Sheet Shredder. It was the perfect size to have next to my work desk and to shred as I went through my daily mail. I also like the look of the shredder too as it has a very modern sleek look to it. The shredder did well in shredding papers and envelopes. I did make sure to not over-feed more than the 8 page limit. I also liked that it was capable to shred credit cards. The most important feature that I like was that it has the more secure feature of cross cut shredding. The shredder did include a sample of the Shredder lubricant sheet however I did wish it included a plastic bag option or suggestion (for those of us who like to shred directly into a bag that can be tied and then discarded). Overall I am very pleased with this light duty shredder.

It is a solid personal shredder. It is good for personal use or light home office use. It does a nice job of cross cutting and is fairly quiet. You do have to watch the 8 sheet limit and not push the machine beyond its capabilities.

This shredder is very aesthetically appealing and because the base is a wide rectangle it is very sturdy and not prone to tipping or falling. However it only has an 8-sheet capacity and is almost twice as loud as my 12-sheet shredder. Additionally it stays on after shredding paper for a few seconds longer than my other shredder which means you're hearing that loud noise for nearly twice as long. The shredded papers are almost the exact same size and shape of other cross-cut shredders so security-wise it is very comparable. I thikn that overall this shredder is a very good value and it seems to do a very good job.

Very easy set up isn’t very noisy shredded up to 8 pages of copy paper easily also shredded credit card easily. Easy to move around where needed easy to empty the bin. I would definitely purchase this shredder it is the perfect size for any home office tucks away in a corner or under a table. I shredded quite a lot over the past two weeks and it never bogged down and always ran smoothly even with staples still on some pages.

This shredder was easy to use and navigate the function buttons. Definitely fit its name as an 8 sheet shredder because i was able to shred 8 sheets at a time with no issues or of any kind. Shredded over 200 pages and did not encounter a jam or any other problems. A wonderful product that lived up to its description and functioned as expected.

Very nice shredder! This shredder exceeded my expectations. It was quieter and faster than I thought it would be. The capacity was surprisingly adequate as well. It never stopped or overheated which was a pleasant surprise. I used it for a total of 15 minutes the first time and was able to shred an entire bag of papers easily and effortlessly. I appreciated that it came well boxed and the box was well constructed. I would definitely recommend this shredder to someone who is looking for a lightweight model that does a good job.

The Staples 8-Sheet Shredder proves to be a powerhouse for its small size. The performance of this product is impressive because of its capacity to process a variety of mediums successfully with a reasonable decibel of sound and expected speed. It works smoothly to devour regular paper cardboard and credit cards. I found this unit to be quieter than some other shredders. I found the mechanism of shredding to be well made giving me confidence. The pace in which it consumes to items is on pace with other shredders. I appreciated the inclusion of the lubrication sheets which I believe is part of what makes this unit so successful. I believe with correct upkeep the durability of this product will show over time because of its high quality. Over 30-minute intervals the shredder is able to maintain consistently. I am sure this unit could be pushed beyond its recommendations because of its quality and durability - a few more sheets maybe two credit cards instead of one thicker cardboard longer use-time etc.; however Staples sets you up for success by giving parameters that keep this unit in tip-top condition. My helpful tip would be to follow directions and keep the unit clean and lubricated. The slot for the paper could be a little wider but was still functional and acceptable. Overall I am rating this 5-star because I really appreciate how much this small feeder can handle and felt that it did an excellent job being pushed to its limit. I am delighted with what the Staples 8-Sheet Shredder accomplishes while having a small footprint.

This shredder is adequate for home or light use. It gets the job done. I've not experienced any paper jams or overheating issues. It is fairly loud when in use and when shredding several paper items right after each other it sounds like the motor is getting tired and about to give out therefore I only shred a few items at a time and then let it rest before shredding more documents for fear that it will overheat. Overall it suits my purposes at home and it does not take up a lot of space so I can easily slide it underneath my desk when not in use.
