The Staples 8-sheet Shredder is an excellent tool to manage your home record keeping needs. The shredder handles up to 8 pages with no problem. The resulting confetti is effectively worthless to any would-be identity thieves. Noise is not an issue as the shredder works efficiently with a tolerable sound level. Setup is quick and easy and emptying the bucket is simple to do. I would recommend this shredder to anyone with the need for a light-duty home solution.

Decent shredder. Works well except if you put too much in it or if the sheets are thick then it takes a little to reset it. Somewhat noisy but next to that it does the job expected of it!!

This Staples shredder seems like a mighty powerhouse! It is relatively small compared to my previous one which is great for under my desk. Safety functions - never had an issue with overheating or overload though I was sure to only do max 8 sheets at once and not multiple shreddings back to back. Knowing this shredder has these safety instructions is re-assuring. Power light - very bright! Not a big deal for my bright office but if I was in a dark room then it might get off-putting Noise - shredding doesn't take long but it does seem louder than my other one. Not an annoying sound per se but it is more on the higher audible level. Function - Shreds very nicely. To dispose of the shredded paper - you lift up. The main top piece that you lift up is a little on the heavy side but makes me feel that it is of high quality. I didn't test any credit cards but so long as you insert in the middle I am sure it would be fine. Issues: Only issue I found is when I feed the paper into the shredder. On my old one the inlet was molded to actually help guide the paper in. This one you have to insert almost vertical. There is a slight guide angle but it really didn't help. As I have it under my desk in order to be efficient on my shredding I would like it to have more of a guide so I can quickly insert the papers and get on with my other tasks without fiddling. Great shredder overall and happy with it.

The shredder does a good job shredding documents by crosscutting the paper which helps keep your information safe. Since the capacity is 8 sheets it is good for light users. I did have a problem when having to use the reverse button when there was too much paper and it got jammed. The shredder had a hard time bringing the paper back up and I had to pull it out.

Unboxing was straight forward. The unit was packed well with two pieces to assemble. The motorized shredder is heavy which creates a top-heavy unit. However it does not appear to be unstable. The on/off/reverse switch is self-explanatory. Shredded pieces are about three quarters of an inch. They are about the same size as those made by my $300 Fellowes shredder. The unit is loud. This may be the result of the plastic being thin and not shielding the noise. I found the slot to be tight in both width and length. The slot size causes some aggravation aligning the papers to be shredded to fit. I did not encounter any jamming if limiting the eight regular paper bunch. With heavy stock you can not expect to shred eight pieces as they wont fit in the slot. Credit cards shred without a problem.

I have enjoyed using the Staples 8 shredder and it is perfect for my office. The paper shreds quickly and effortlessly through the shredded and the bin is also very easy to empty. The shredder motor is quiet and overall I have been pleased with the performance I would recommend the shredder and love the kit how it was packaged. Assembly was easy and it was easy to set up.

This shredder is light but sturdy for stability while it does its work. It smoothly handles multiple sheets of paper without halting. Great performance that I hope will last a long time!

The shredder is a nice size it's not too bulky. It is lightweight. I didn't have any issues with the shredder jamming when shredding from single sheets up to 8 sheets. It does a good job shredding and I am confident that my personal information is not accessible due how well it shreds the papers. The shredder is surprisingly quiet. It says 3 minutes continuous shred time but it lasted longer approximately 10/15 minutes before cool down was needed. The shredder holds a good amount of paper before needing to empty. It's an easy set up.
