My only complaint is that the shred opening is quite narrow and isn't always easy to line the paper up just right to send it into the shredder. Otherwise so far so good.

I previously owned the staples mail mate shredder with a pull out drawer for emptying however I tried to shred a credit card which had metal in it and it ruined the shredder. This 8 sheet shredder works fine but I don’t like that you have to lift off the top to empty the bin.

Machine seems to be acceptable . However the on/off switch is difficult to use as it doesn’t want to go all the way over to be set on automatic use. The sales person was very good. Bob Bittinger

Would not recommend. While the grinders are very good and seem very sturdy they reverse little hard wags of clumped up paper back into the very narrow feeder slot. JAMMED in. This means you can't get paper past the clumps so it makes the shredded useless until you clear them out. Which is not easy. Not a great design. Whatever you do do NOT use the "reverse" function when you have a paper jam. PS I only ever sent 3 sheets through at once--and mostly just one or two.
