[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression taking it out of the box was it is super heavy. I did struggle removing it from the box and getting it set up. Once it was plugged in everything was self-explanatory. I love that it slides open to and then you place the papers in the shredder. I love that safeguard there in case there’s ever a little fingers around. My second favorite thing about it is it’s super quiet. With how heavy it was I assumed it was going to be loud and aggressive sounding. Overall I’m super impressed with the quality. I’m able to shred up to 24 papers with Staples included. Saves me so much time not pulling them apart when I’m in a hurry . We use this at our business in our office and find that it’s super convenient to roll around with the wheels at the bottom. That way if I’m shredding a large amount of things I can slide it right up to my chair. And roll it back into place when I’m done.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shredder is first and foremost-heavy! But I took that as a good sign-and it was. This thing shreds credit cards multiple papers at a time folders etc. it’s a beast. And it’s nice to have that peace of mind that my personal information isn't going into the trash and could possibly be found. These days it seems like your personal info is everywhere and running a small business I want to make sure we are doing our due diligence with disposing of material with account numbers addresses etc. and this shredder sure makes that a lot easier! Would recommend to anyone personal or business. It isn’t gigantic so it’s perfect for personal or small business. Pretty quiet too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples 24 Sheet Cross Cut Commercial Shredder is a hardworking shredder that efficiently cuts up documents with sensitive information into tiny pieces that allow for disposal without fear of the information being used in ways it should not be. I was able to shred a very large stack of papers that I had bee putting of shredding in about 5 minutes due to the ability to shrewd up to 24 sheets at a time. I also did not have an issue with the shrewder overheating when processing large quantities of paper like I did with my previous shredder. I placed the shredder in our SPED office at work and all 6 of the SPED teachers utilized it. We really like the large bin and don’t feel like we are constantly needing to empty it. It also cuts paper into nice small sized chunks. My only complaint about it would be that it does not shred cards such as credit cards as well as I would like. However it does a better job than my current shredder at home. Overall the shredder was easy to use. It took me a minute to figure out how to slide the top to get access to be able to shreds but I really like that feature of covering the shredding gears. I am planning on purchasing another one of these for use at home and I will feel okay about my toddler being in my home office because I know he will not be able to stick his fingers near the cutting gears because of the cover.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Staples 15 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder several times over the past few weeks. The shredder is sturdy heavy and large enough without being overbearing. The shred size is fine providing confidence that personal information will be protected. It easily and quickly shreds up to 15 sheets of paper at a time as well as credit cards. There is no significant difference in speed or noise volume between 1 sheet and 15 sheets. Overall the noise volume is pretty on par for a home shredder. The bin capacity is quite large has a window to easily view how full it is and holds more than I expected it to. I love how the top cover slides over the paper slot to turn the shredder on and off as it protects curious little fingers and prevents anything unwanted from falling into the slot. It is currently stored in a closet away from toddlers but the optional wheels make it very convenient and easy to roll out and plug in when needed. I have not noticed any flaws and find this to be the perfect home shredder considering the shredding efficiency wheels for easy moving capacity and safety of the paper slot top cover.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Staples 24 sheet cross cut commercial shredder in our office for a few weeks and it's really efficient. It handles large volumes of paper without frequent jams even when the staples are left in and the cross cut shred size provides a good level of security for our office. There is a nice LED indicator that tells you when the bin is getting full and the bin capacity is large enough that we don't have to empty it often. In total there are about 20 people in our office who shred documents regularly and the controls are intuitive enough that no one has had problems using it. The shredder is kept in a common area next to the printing station and it's remarkable how quiet this shredder is. It’s almost as quiet as the printer. I would highly recommend this shredder for any office needing a heavy-duty shredding solution.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that this is on wheels and has a safety cover that easily slides closed (to protect little fingers). Seems to shred really well I’ve tried it with old credit cards and stacks of around 15 pages at a time and it didn’t flinch. Not sure about it starting up as soon as you slide it open (again because of concern with kids) but this will be kept unplugged and away from them so shouldn’t be an issue just not sure why it auto starts on opening. The bin is huge and has a nice see through opening to see capacity. Doesn’t slide back in super slickly but either a bit of wobbling it goes back in easy. Overall a great product that gets the job done with some nice extra features with the easy to move wheels and safety cover.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paper shredder by Staples is definitely a solid choice for anyone on the market for home office solution for paper shredding. This machine is pretty efficient and can definitely handle multiple pages simultaneously; though I did not have the need to try for 15 pages at once (its stated capacity) I'm sure it could handle that load. The shredder can take a letter-sized page through its feed in about 10 seconds. The bin capacity is great! After a few weeks of regular use I still have not had to empty it. The shred size is pretty compact and I have no concerns about security when it comes to emptying the bin into our recycling container outside. I have this shredder near my desk in my home office and its casters make it easy to store in a corner under a desk or even in a closet since you can move it into the right position for the job when needed. I appreciate how simple it is to use the shredder with its sliding top: close the top when not in use (a nice safety measure!) and slide it back for automatic turn-on. My only complaint would be that the size of the feed is only large enough for the short side of a letter-sized page making it difficult to casually throw in a page for shredding -- you need to be pretty precise when feeding something through. As for the noise level: it's not quiet! But the motor turns off automatically once a page has been shredded which keeps the annoyance down. Overall this is a very practical and useful shredder and I would recommend it to friends and colleagues looking for one for use at home.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty good paper shredder that shreds in a cross cut design. I like this type of shredding because I can use it for filler in projects too. It fit 12 sheets at a time which is plenty in terms for throughput for at home use. The shredder has a removable top so you can easily get rid of the shredded paper without lugging the whole thing. I like that this model can accommodate staples so I don’t have to remove those ahead of time. It can even shred credit cards which is very handy and I no longer have to cut those up with scissors. It does have some weight to it but it’s not bulky and it can fit under a desk. The noise level is pretty typical of a shredder so I’m not bothered by it. Overall it’s great for at-home use.
