I have used this keyboard for several weeks now and I have to say I'm impressed. It reminds me of the mechanical keyboards that I used to work on in the '90s. I like the sound it makes, the feel of the keys, the backlight is really handy, and all the function keys work as expected when connected to my MacBook Pro. The grey and black keys give it a professional look. If you like to hear what you're typing, this is the keyboard for you!
A Big DisappointmentThis was an expensive keyboard, but I had high hopes for it. I was disappointed.Touch is very light, much lighter than the Apple extended keyboard. That results in extra characters. Today I finally gave up on it and went back to using my Apple keyboard, for the unsatisfactory touch and for its inability to handle the dictation key. I dictate, I pause, I come back, the dictation is not enabled. I tap the dictation key and nothing happens. Sometimes it takes three or four tries, in addition to pushing the F16 key to wake it up to get the dictation to work again. This is a dealbreaker. Oh, and it's ugly. It looks like plastic; cheap plastic.
Overall the keyboard is great! The typing experience and tactile feedback is pleasant and I enjoy using this keyboard as a daily keyboard. The reason I didn't' give a 5 star rating is because I have the smaller version of the same keyboard and the it's a better experience. Not sure if something changed in the design or manufacturing process, but it's not the same typing experience. I wish they made this more low-profile.
