Doesn't work and support is less than ideal

I bought this for my Lenovo Legion Slim as I have seen reviews saying this is great for the laptop as it has limited IO. The hub has not worked once. The power indicator will not turn on after trying with multiple different devices.
I have tried registering the device to my account and the device serial number listed on the hub was not able to be found by the website! I have tried contacting support about trying to fix this, and return or get a replacement but they are impossible to reach.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed more USB ports for my Lenovoa Yoga 9i and this provided me with three. It also has several other features (HDMI, SD card reader, limited battery) but I have not used these functions and not sure I ever will. Like a Swiss Army knife, it sometimes feels like overkill, but when you need a port, this hub has it.
