I purchased this hub in lieu of a docking station so that I could pull one plug instead of five peripherals when I needed to take my Lenovo V15 G2 ITL with me. The laptop does not recognise that there is a desktop monitor connected to the HDMI port, and the power supply port is USB and not compatible with my Lenovo power supply connector. So instead of having one wire to pull, I now have one more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
