Working at its own will with horrible Glitch

It's been working out of box without any problems for 16 days.
Two days ago (9/21/24), out of blue, my X1G7 cannot detect the external display, though the keyboard that connected through this dongle was working.
And it is not charging my laptop either, which I suspect this might be the culprit?
I uninstall/reinstall the X1G7 onboard graphic card couple of times and no fix. I reconnect this dongle to laptop, reboot the laptop, connect the laptop first, then HDMI, or, HDMI first then laptop. It finally worked without my understanding why.
I'm afraid it would sometime test my patience again. Please any help/clue would be appreciated.
