Made the purchase when my recumbent bike broke. I was hesitant at first, assuming the small size of the product would make it unsteady in use. I have been amazed at the stability of the unit and it has the added benefit of taking up significantly less floor space.
I have my doubts that the "distance" and "calories burned" are accurate measurements, but if you're like me the timer and stride count is a better measurement of my workout anyway.

I have had my Compact Strider a couple weeks. It is exactly what I hoped to receive. Shipping time was great as well. I can use this while watching TV at night...I used to sit after sitting all day at a desk job. It is quiet so it does not interfere with conversation, television watching, or other family members. I do not know how much weight this will help me lose, but I feel better that I am not sitting. The strider is easy to use and has great options for tracking your use.

Replaced my set on big sit on bike of 5 years Now I am in my arm chair watching TV using my Stamina E1000. Find that I can exasize much longer withthe Stamina then with my old bike which was 5 times the size .

I have been using my E1000 for over a year now and love it! It has helped improve my fitness level, health stats and over-all mood. I use it daily with my standing desk at work and now more and more staff are purchasing it for themselves.

I bought this to use under my desk at work. We were having a walking/fitness contest and I realized right away that the only way for me to make the steps I needed daily was to add something I could do at work. I wasn't sure it would work under my desk, but it fits fine and I can use it without hitting my knees (I am 5'5") no matter what type of shoes I am wearing. I wasn't sure my desk chair would roll close enough to it for me to reach my keyboard, but that turned out to be no problem as long as I make sure the chair wheels are straddle it. I found out that it improves my poster because I have to sit up straighter to be comforter. When it arrived the counter did not work so I had to call customer service. The call went to a live person (surprise!) and she immediately said she would send me a new part. The part arrived in two days and I was able to install it myself. I put the equipment together myself, too, although the box was heavy. So I have been using it every day. I try to always get in 10,000 steps. I love that you can reset the counter and it holds your number even when you walk away and come back. You can set the tension which I also find helpful. If I don't want to break a sweat I set it low and use it to keep my legs moving (anything is better than nothing, right?). That works fine. I really love everything about it. Let's not forget that the price was excellent for the quality. So the contest is over (yes, I did make my steps every day!) and I am still using it. It is a "gadget" that I really use. I highly recommend it.
