Great if you are in the Garmin ecosystem

Works well with the Garmin watches and Approach. My main complaint is it is slower to lock onto the flag and sometimes never does but still gives you a yardage. It seems to have trouble with background clutter and the range can fluctuate before it settles on the right yardage. That being said once it gives you a range and plays like number they seem accurate. The pairing with the watch is what sets it apart and makes the slight delay in yardage worthwhile. Overall I would say buy it if you are in the Garmin ecosystem if not look at some others first.

The Garmin Approach Z30 links directly to my Fenix 8 watch. It shows the the distance and all the factors that can impact my ball, meaning it give you the true plays like distance. It also provide the number of yards from the pin to front and back of the green. Love this rangefinder.

Excited to use the Z30 to pair flag distance with the Garmin golf GPS. However, I haven't been able to successfully link it to my G30 as internet claims they are compatible.

When combined with the Garmin golf watch, the Garmin golf App, and range finder you have very powerful tools for yardage information.

Very quick to lock on. Being able to connect to the away h to get distance front and back to the green. Also you can choose your landing spot on the green and get that distance after you get the distance.

I purchased the Garmin z30 about 3 weeks ago as I lost my previous rangefinder. I choose the z30 because I also own the Garmin S62 approach golf watch and they are suppose to work together. I I love the easy to read viewfinder and the quick information. I was amazed at the syncing of information between my watch and the z30. I would highly recommend the z30 whether or not you have a Garmin watch.

This is a pretty standard rangefinder. Issue is pairing it with the watch if you have one and if your watch actually works and doesn’t crap out after the one year warranty. Bluetooth connection is slow and spotty. It can get the distance to pin quickly enough but you have to wait awhile and hold the rangefinder fixed on pin for it to show you the front and back distance. You’re probably better off with the Bushnell Tour Hybrid laser if you want front, middle and back distances along with the pin yardage. It’s a little more expensive but definitely less than the z30 plus a garmin watch.
