Screws up watch screens

I bought it a while back, and quit using it because it changes all the faces and information on my Epix pro. Golf is frustrating enough without trying to get to different screens and information. Don’t need the extra stress.

My favorite rangefinder yet.

My last rangefinder was a Z82.
I loved it and it had great features.
Unfortunately, I left it in on the dash of a golf cart and it was never returned.
I was about to purchase another when the Z30 was introduced.
I watched a few Youtube videos on the device and was intrigued by the way it cooperated with the Garmin golf watches.
I already owned a the S70 Golf watch, so I gave it a try.
I am loving it.
I still miss a few of the features on the Z82 but the new features on the Z30 give me new data that frankly is more important to me.
When connected to my S70 watch anytime I shoot the flag with the rangefinder it updates my watch to the exact location of the flag.
It tells me how many steps to the flag from the front and to the back.
It allows me to shoot the flag from the cart on "path only days" and be confident that my watch is dead on ones I get over the ball.
Thanks for making such a great product at a price less than the Z82

I bought it over a month ago and play 2-3 times a week. I say it’s shaved 3-4 strokes off my game. With the addition to the watch it’s a must have!!!

Solid Choice!

Have used a few rounds, and basically chose the Garmin over a Bushnell (I lost my V4 Shift) to complement my S70 watch. As a standalone rangefinder, I would say this is an upgrade from my V4 - built-in cart magnet, larger image in the viewfinder, and sharper/clear as well. I believe it has 6x mag vs the 4 or 5 x in the V4 Shift. Like my Bushnell, it does make slope adjustments. Also, the tournament mode on the Garmin is a little “safer” as it is controlled with a mode button on top which seems to be totally out of the way, versus the side slider on the V4 which was prone to being “unslid”. The Z30 also has an LED that activates in tournament mode so even your playing partners can see.
The added benefit here is the interaction with GPS and the S70 watch. When you lock on the pin with the rangefinder, it updates the watch with the same yardage, and will adjust as you move about so you don’t need to use the Z30 again on that hole. With watch and Garmin Golf App active, the rangefinder, will also give front/back distance to the pin through the lens. This can be very helpful, however, so far it seems that the graphic of the green on the watch showing pin position is not really representative of those front/back distances - the picture on the watch seems to always show a back pin ridiculously close to the front of the green. To be fair, this may just be a product of having only used the Z30 a few times. In summary, if you already have a compatible Garmin watch and want a rangefinder as well, then I really think this is your best choice.

GARMIN Z30

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. As with all my Garmin products experiences, I had high expectations. Not only did the Z30 meet my expectations, it exceeded them. Well done Garmin.

It works as advertised, it was easy to sink with my Garmin Finix 7. I shoot the flag from the cart and leave the rangefinder on metal rail of the cart. My friends are jealous
