Don't like non-stick liner coating

I own an older model of this product, and absolutely love it. My only dissatisfaction is the non-stick coating on the stainless steel liner. Non-stick coatings are coming to be regarded as unhealthy for humans and the environment as a whole. I am especially concerned that the lining is continually exposed to HOT water, which I then drink...... I wish Zojirushi would come out with a version that is UN-COATED STAINLESS STEEL on the inside!!

Our Micom Water Boiler & Warmer CD-WHC40 does not have an interior coating and is an option for those who would like to not have a nonstick coated interior. We carefully select and test all the materials we use to ensure they are safe to come into contact with food. We hope this helps!

This water boiler is almost perfect! It heats water quickly and efficiently, and always keeps the water at the perfect temperature. The only thing missing is an on/off switch. The boiler comes on when plugged in, and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. So I plugged it into a dedicated power strip with an on/off button and that solves the problem. Other than that minor issue, this is the best water boiler anyone could hope for.

Product is ok. Several things that it doesn’t do as well as a now discontinued vacuum hybrid boiler (CV-DSC40) is:
1. Doesn’t have the magnetic plug anymore
2. Where the cord plugs into the boiler is very bulky and sticks out.
3. The slow dispense rate is too fast. It’s not as slow as there old one.
4. Could use better vacuum insulation

Can’t live without

I didn’t know I needed one till I started Christmas shopping, I drink tea 2-3x a day, I have hot water at my fingertips all day everyday. We love it and find ourselves using it for everything hot water related.
