This is my second Otterbox Defender iPhone cover. I work in the wild and accidentally dropped my previously protected iPhone 5 on sharp rocks several times. The only damage was a small scrape on the clear screen of its Otterbox Defender. Since I work in nature, I wanted a cover that would stand out -- the only thing available at the time was a sort of salmon pink cover. I received a lot of grief over the color, but I NEVER lost my phone while other co-workers did lose phones with more "manly" covers. (Seriously, taking a "camo" covered phone into nature is like asking to lose it) So fast forward to the present, when I upgraded my iPhone to an 8, the decision to go with a bright pink phone cover was an easy one. I may get grief from co-workers, but I know my phone won't be damaged by accidental drops and won't be lost in the wild.

We are an Otterbox family. My son just got his first phone and it went right from the box into an Otterbox. We always been very happy with their products and we have never had a cracked screen or a broken phone in the 8 years we’ve been using them. Great job Otterbox!

Hi my name is Betty, and I'm a klutz. I am often using the gps on my iphone out on the trail and can't count the number of times I have dropped and watched my phone bounce down an incline or fall from one rock formation to another, just adding another element of challenge to the outing. My phone remains unscathed and my case intact. The only reason I replace it is because of the normal wear and tear scuffs on the protective screen cover. I BUY NO OTHER CASE! This sturdy and reliable defender is the one for me.

Bought a case and cover with lighter colors than I usually pick but turned out to work well. Now I’m not constantly picking up my husband’s phone. Seems very sturdy and I haven’t had a hard time holding the phone. I hope I don’t drop my phone any time soon but if I do I suspect my phone will be protected.
