So, this case definitely delivers protection for my iPhone when I drop it, and Iove that feature. It is a little hard to access the side buttons, and the built-in screen protector is a great idea but needs work on design (it doesn't lie entirely flat against the screen, and I may end up cutting it out to install a standard glass screen protector that works better, because I have to repeatedly hit the screen where ever the screen protector doesn't fit snug against the screen). I'd buy it again; it offers the protection I want, but it could use a few design improvements.

I have been using Otterbox Defender Series since the first iPhone was introduced and after ordering my IPhone 7, I immediately logged onto Otterbox.com and ordered another Defender Series case for it. These cases have protected my iPhones so well that each time I get another one, my previous phone is still in 'like-new' condition. I have NEVER cracked any iPhone glass because the Defender series has a protector built into the shell. I have dropped my phones on numerous times with no damage whatsoever. A couple of months ago my iPhone 6 accidentally dropped in a pedicure water bath. After a quick grab out of the water and removal of the case, no water anywhere on phone! Thank you Otterbox. I am a loyal customer.

I have had an otter box defender case on every phone I have owned in the last decade and have always felt they were rock solid and great protection. This is the first cover that is just a touch loose. When I pull the phone out of my pocket the rubber wants to pull away from the plastic making it loose and not near as secure as the covers I have used in the past. Kind of bummed, it's a pretty expensive case to not Be quit as good as the past covers. I have had covers for the 3,4,6 and now iPhone 7. My girlfriend had this same problem with here iPhone 5c case, I hope I just got unlucky and mine was defective, because in the past without a doubt this is the case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased the Defender build your own pink on pink. The pink is like eraser material and within a week it already looks dirty from rubbing on table/hands/purse. Love the pink but very disappointed in the look of it after only 1 week. I suspect it is the color as the previous defender was purple and had no issue at all. I would repurchase but not in this color.

I'm on my fourth defender case , not because there is anything wrong with them, because they're all i trust with my iPhone's. every time i've upgraded my iPhone i've put them in an otterbox defender. from my days as a carpenter these cases put up with a lot of abuse from drops off a roof to case and holder getting snagged on something and getting ripped from my belt ,nailpouch and suspenders. they've put up with al my abuse and thats why its the only phone protector I'll ever buy.
