Although I have used the 5000 Series Norelco for less than a year, I have used Norelco shavers for a number of years. The Norelco Phillips 5999 Series is my latest/ I find it easy to use, comfortable and a clean shave. I heartily recommend the product.

Good razor, have used your products for many years. I've found that my thumb and the power button intersect while I'm shaving, causing accidental power off. It's very sensitive!

The foils are slightly different than the ones that these new blades replaced. They seem to actually work a little better than the old ones. The shaving seems to be finer and less abrasive to the skin than it used to be. The only issue I have is that Norelco seems to keep changing the replacement blades for my razor so I don't know what to buy.

My thumb is always turning off the power, too sensitive.

I have used Norelco for 40 years with satisfaction, but have had a new 5000 for four months and still cannot get a close shave. I guess I will buy a new head to see if that is the problem. Other suggestion???

I'm not seeing any significant physical difference in these heads vs my old HQ8 except the plastic drive interface is shorter (see pic). Blades have the same spring backer and seem to shave as well. I like my AT8xx razor and plan to keep it until it falls apart. I will replace the battery as necessary. Easy to clean vs the complaints about the new top of the line razors. Perhaps complaints coming from buyers of the HQ8 and SH50 imitations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had long ago given up on electric shavers: they never seemed to give me a close enough shave. Tiring of disposal razors and the like, decided to treat myself to an upper end electric shaver with the hope the years gone by had led to vast improvements.
I can say unequivocally this S5200 fits the bill. Remarkably quiet with the ability to gently remove facial hair, so far it's performance has exceeded expectations.
The manual is user friendly and the maintenance easy enough.

Pros: smooth shave without effort, can clean the heads running under water, nice fitting cap for the razor heads.
Cons: low noise gives one the feeling not charged.
