shaver heads clog

Shaver heads were clogged. (This is my 100 year+ father-in-law's personal razor. He wasn't cleaning it properly.) I completely disassembled the shaver head, brushed the cutters and brushed away all of the old skin and clips of hair. Tried shaving him and was quite surprised how much better the razor functioned.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Satisfied with Series 5000

This shaver is easy to use and gives a good close shave if you follow instructions. Shaving time is average, battery life better then expected. Have used in the shower a couple of times, prefer shaving after shower as I feel I get a closer shave. I had to remember to use small circular motion for quality results. I really can not find anything negative about this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

terrible shaver

Hard to change the blades. In order to use a trimmer I have to attach a separate part-Are you kidding me? The battery in my last norelco died after a short period of time-no way to plug it into an outlet.Not sure what happened-this use to be a high quality brand
Pros: screen on top of blades is better than a thin scre

Hope to God you never have to clean this thing.

Once you remove the shaver head and blades to clean it, it's near impossible to actually put the blades back in place so you can shave again. Just wasted an hour and a half trying to put this thing back together. Other than that it's fine.
Cons: can't clean without hating your life for hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Blades work

Don’t know why all the complaints. The sh50s work fine. I have a relatively heavy beard and I shave almost every day wet or dry. If dry, don’t shave after washing face. Best dry shave when face has natural oils. Been using Norelco since 15 years of ago; that’s now 60 years. No irritation as with other shavers and a regular blade is murder.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Careful installation of new heads works

The reviews were very helpful in giving me a heads up to VERY carefully install the replacement heads that came with my S5290 shaver. Once installed, the new SH50s made a marked improvement in the shaver's performance. I had used the shaver for perhaps a year before the replace blades light came on. At that point I had noticed the shaver was not giving me a close shave and was taking longer and longer to use.
Although I have used the 5000 Series Norelco for less than a year, I have used Norelco shavers for a number of years. The Norelco Phillips 5999 Series is my latest/ I find it easy to use, comfortable and a clean shave. I heartily recommend the product.
Good razor, have used your products for many years. I've found that my thumb and the power button intersect while I'm shaving, causing accidental power off. It's very sensitive!
