Fantastic Shave

Not sure what all the vitriol is about with some of the lower-rated reviews, but my experience is simple. These SH50 replacement heads give me a better experience than my old HQ8 blades did. My shaves seem a little smoother now with these new blades and shaving itself is definitely more comfortable. Maybe my original blades were defective. All I know is these new SH50 blades are better for me.
Pros: smoother shave more comfortable

My thumb is always turning off the power, too sensitive.

I have used Norelco for 40 years with satisfaction, but have had a new 5000 for four months and still cannot get a close shave. I guess I will buy a new head to see if that is the problem. Other suggestion???

Norelco shaving heads replacements are a must have for smoother shave. I like to order ahead so I am never without.

This product page gives wrong information that SH50 replacement head is compatible with shaver series 5000

NOT compatible with s5880 Part 2

"Response from Philips" says this replacement head SH50 is compatible with s series.
I have philips S5880 and on the back of the razor says "REPLACE WITH SH71 HEADS".
SH50 head has a "ridge" on its cover and cannot be inserted to the s5880.

The reason the SH50/52 heads do not fit your shaver is because they fit only the Series 5000 that have rounded heads whilist your shaver has angular heads. The correct replacements for your shaver are indeed the ones that are written on the back of the handle the SH71/52.

Update SH30/52 better choice than SH50/52 - dugger

Purchased SH50 for razor due to the cutters fitting the spindles better than the cutters in the 30/52. Planned on using the new cutters with the old screens from the 30/52 due the initial issue with the SH50 screens.
I decided to try the 50 as received on a 3 day growth. produced a perfect cut, even with NO PRE-SHAVE which I never do.
The specs must have been reviewed or the tool changed that cuts the grooves in the screens. Whatever, they work. I still don't get the holes. Very hard to push a string into a straw.by dragging the straw over the end of the string

The turn around time from ordering to receiving the new blades was only a few days. New blades are shaving as smooth as when shaver was new. wife says face feels like baby butt skin soft.
