Pre-packaged and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is essentially top soil with fertilizer all in one so it makes it easier to plant vegetables in good soil without having to add fertilizer. The 1.5 cubic bag is large and not too heavy to carry around and to move around. The instructions and uses of this soil are well explained on the bag. The only negative is that it seems a little pricey for clean topsoil with fertilizer pre mixed but it is convenient and the Miracle Gro name has a very good reputation.

Cons: pricey

Good quality amendment to gardens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since this is my first experience with this product, I used it to amend 1/4 of my garden. After application, the soil became light and airy. So far the plants in that area are doing great. I hope it continues throughout this summer.

Great Soil Amendment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One part of my gardening area is a somewhat heavy clay. I used this product to help amend the soil, giving it a new life. Following the directions, I worked the majority of the bag of Miracle-Gro Garden Soil for Vegetables and Herbs into the top several inches of the heavy dirt. The result was a nice, loose mixture that could be easily be planted. The soil stayed workable despite the later rains which, in the past, usually formed a hard 'crust' on the surface.
Although the large bag could be somewhat heavy for some users, I found the soil inside to be quite friable and the texture was absolutely perfect. Small lumps easily broke apart and I could see the textures of peat moss and other ingredients.
Sometimes bagged soils are either too wet and clumpy or too dry and hard-to-moisten. This was neither. Although the directions advocate against using this in a container, I did use a couple scoops of this soil to top off the soil in a pot of ornamentals on my outdoor deck
I am picky about the products I use in my garden. I think this product makes a great addition to the Miracle-Gro product lineup. The added fertilizer make this a win-win for the home gardener.

Cons: slightly pricey

Amazing!

I bought this a few weeks ago and already my plants have started to grow. I can't wait to see what my veggies look/taste like! The soil was very clean with no smell or garbage in it. I will absolutely buy again!!

Nutrients incomplete or missing

NPK listed but nothing of the dozen-plus micronutrients. If they are not there, then it should be suggested to buy "___" fir complete nutrician.
Cons: Problem with label, no micro nutrients?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
