lILY, we apologize for the issues you have encountered with Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil for Vegetables and Herbs. Our soils are made of composted forest products to produce a courser material for air to reach the roots of the plant, which improves plant performance. We make every effort to screen out man made materials from our soils. We would like to speak with you in further detail so that we can both extend to you our guarantee as well as learn more about this issue to make a more complete report to our Quality Assurance Department. Fungus Gnats

I bought 6 bags for a raised bed and a few container veggies. It wasn't long before I noticed the soil was absolutely crawling with soil mites which are commonly used to control fungus gnat infestations. So figured if I have the mites I wont have gnats for very long if any. I figured wrong. The gnats are all over and tend to fly up my nose whenever I examine my plants for other pests. It didn't work the mites are very nice touch and shows your trying to fix the problem. unfortunately this one product isn't that great but I will continue to make my own soil using your compost. I grew some very big peppers and tomatoes using it and this wont stop me from buying your products. Everybody has that one product they cant seem to fix. lol
Cons: Didn't work as expected, Difficult to use
Pros: Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought about 10 bags of this fort raised garden bed and found crumbled up pieces of plastic bag and glass! Good thing that time I used a rake to break it up! I just bought another bag for my deck tomatoes and pepper plants and again found glass! What is going on? This time I used my hands to break it up and I'm glad I didn't get sliced! Who do I contact about this? Not good!! I would add photos but it tells me the file is too big but I have several!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am always looking for a good fertilizer to feed my beloved tomato garden and I think I found it. I have noticed much better water retention even though I have been watering less. My plants are extremely green and stiffer and extending well beyond their bases. I have yet to try any tomatoes from this harvest but they look absolutely plumb, vibrant, and delicious!
Cons: Bad Odor
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality, Effective
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soil is just great. I can see how rich and full of nutrients it has. My peppers and tomato plants will love this fresh rich soil. I filled up the vegetable bed and made sure all plant roots were covered completely. Put in a bit of water and voila!
