Excellent case... Light and fits in dock. Interchangeable grips makes for use with any type of hands. The magnetic back makes for a versitile use for any type of extension without having to stick something on there.
The new version docks very easily! All of the grips are comfortable. I’m personally a huge fan of the smallest grips because they fit in a slim case like the Savage Raven EDC case (added a photo). Also, the case looks good visually. It has a clean, minimal design that doesn’t scream “gamer.” Really happy with it. The travel cover is awesome too.
I was part of the “later” orders that was supposed to fix the docking issue. Very unfortunate to see that after giving Genki a chance to make this right, the product continues to fail at what is being advertised.Let me say that the grips and case are actually solid, and if they had an extended dock option... maybe this would be a better path. Regardless, I bought this over the Killswitch because it seemed to be the same quality with more ergonomic options, yet had that factor that separated it from the rest, dockability! <—they advertise this on their site and on the box with so much pride, yet so much failure :(
The grip attachments do help my large hands play comfortably for longer, but I wish they extended down a bit farther, like traditional controller grips. Another issue is that seating the console in the dock with the case on takes a bit more effort and care than I hoped. Sometimes I have to push down harder than I'd like or wiggle it a bit to make a solid connection with the dock. Finally, I'd like it if the travel cover were just a bit easier to remove. I would generally recommend this for folks who mostly use the console in handheld mode and have average-sized hands, but I hope the promised revision makes the docking situation easier.
Love this accessory. It fits perfectly while protecting your system. It does not interfere with docking nor the magnetic joycons. I think this is much better than the Dbrand Kill Switch acccessory.
I’m a longtime Genki user. I love the previous products I’ve tried (shadowcasts 1, 2, and pro; covert docks, etc.,)The main body of the case is a complete miss. The lower lip does not stay on, and the console doesn’t dock while in the case. I only use the grips (the small and the medium sizes), I do not use the case. It’s disappointing, and does not feel like I got near the value I paid for and expected. I was confident buying the products because of previous experiences, but I don’t think I’ll be able to say the same moving forward.
