My very first Sonos speaker!

It was a great purchase for my very first Sonos speaker. The Beam (Gen2) shines in movies, especially in dialogues, background music and sound effects are definitely better. I gave it a 4-star, because it could've had other connectivity options given the price point. But, overall it's worth the money, you can see and feel the premium quality of this product. Now, that I'm in the Sonos ecosystem, next will be the Sub Mini, then a pair of One SL, to complete the Sonos surround experience.

Great sound but bad connectivity

After latest se update, it has to be restarted for Spotify-app to find it. Also automatic switching to tv sound is not always working
Pros: Superior Sound
Cons: Unreliable

Great as TV speaker for small rooms

Easy set up, nice app, works with your TV remote (if TV has eHDMI) , does great job for TV sound (very clear dialogue even at low volume) not so much for music. A sub may improve sound when playing music. Can do room mapping, virtual Dolby Atmos works better than in Sony ht-a 3000. Bose 600 plays jazz better and has dedicated vertical drivers for Dolby sound but cant beat Beam as TV speaker.

Cons: May need a sub for music, not very loud

2nd Times the Charm

The first one I bought had a defect. It would freeze after 5 minutes and make a "machine gun" sound. Took it back to Cosco and bought another. The 2nd one doesn't seem to have any issues. Setup was fast and painless and AirPlay works well.
