I purchased two Sonos One speakers in December and was planning on buying a Beam but decided to wait for a few months. I'm actually glad that I did. I LOVE the features of the Beam 2 especially the voice activation.

My wife and I have different levels of hearing. We purchased a Beam gen 2 and paired it with an old play 3. She keeps the play 3 close and can hear everything without increasing the volume on the TV. I can snore!

It is used in a bedroom sound bar system. I was hoping for better than TV sound with improved voices. Instead, I got a true surround sound experience with excellent voicing. It is much better than expected. It improved even more after running the Sonos room correction software.

I have this soundbar connected to an eARC HDMI port on my TV with Dolby Atmos enabled on my first gen Apple TV 4K, and it really sounds amazing and it pretty much sounds like surround sound too on movies that are designed to take advantage of it. I also like how it does not require or use a standalone, separate subwoofer because everything seems to just be built right into the soundbar itself and if you turn up the bass all the way in the equalizer settings on the Sonos app, then you will not be disappointed with the amount of bass coming from just the soundbar itself. I am very impressed with this soundbar, and I think it was definitely worth the money that I spent on it. Thank you.
