Amazing sound from this soundbar

I purchased the Sonos Beam to connect to my television in my main living area. I thought the sound from my television was not too bad overall, but the improvement in sound using the Beam has been absolutely amazing. The depth of the sound and the clarity is exceptional, and it seems like the room is filled with sound. I also like that when I stream music throughout the house, the Beam streams my music to the main area. I have other Sonos products in almost every room. Another really nice feature is that I can turn on other speakers in the Sonos app when I have the TV playing and can hear what is playing on the TV in other rooms. This is great for listening to news and such throughout the house. Connecting the Beam really was as simple as plugging it into the HDMI ARC port on my television and turning off my TV speakers. The Beam really did the rest of the configuration when I added it to my system through the Sonos app. Highly recommend this product!

Better than the Arc!

I have the Arc, sub and Ones. I use the Arc in my movie room with the Sonos Sub and the ones for the surround. Just got this Beam for the living room. The Beam has better highs and vocals than the Arc. Before buying another sub to pair with the beam I moved the sub from the movie room to the living room to see how it would do. OMG it is amazing. I have the Beam at Treble +10, Bass 0, Loudness on, Sub +8 and Speech Enhancement on. Everything sounds great, clean and clear. The ONLY downside is the dialog sync (voice sound matched to actors lips). It is just a hair behind but not much. The average person would struggle to notice. The Arc is synced perfectly. I will eventually put the Sonos/Sonance ceiling speakers in as the rear surround with the Sonos Amp powering them. This setup will be better than the movie room. Sonos needs to keep tweaking the Arc as it should be able to out perform the Beam. The Arc still needs higher highs and better vocals even after the latest update (though the latest update did help out quite a bit).
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Speech enhancement
Cons: TV Dialog Sync Slightly Delayed

This is the perfect sound bar for my office. Two 32" 4K monitors. One connected to the Beam and a Roku. Can listen to music while I work or watch a movie if I need a break. Sound is rich and deep, full and immersive. Love the 'hey Sonos' feature as I can't use Alexa in my office. Too much confidential info being discussed to have Amazon listening in. Voice control does what I need it to do. Paired it with the mini-sub yo give the lows just enough more punch to make it perfect. Strictly speaking it doesn't need the sub but having it makes an incremental difference.

I absolutely love the new Sonos beam. I've listened to hours of music on it. Mostly rock, metal and country. Every song is so clear and each note is so crisp. I just wish the sound bar had better bass, but that is mostly fixed in the EQ. For movies it is insane! To test the sound bar I put on the avengers movie and it sounded like a real movie theater. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to add a sub woofer.

I would say I don't understand why the app requires me to share my location during setup, but I do. And it's completely unnecessary. I was on the fence of returning the soundbar and going with a different brand, and frankly I still may. The Sonos app does not NEED to know my exact location in order to perform its function as a network connected audio device. It can already get very close based on my WiFi network info, which it also has. I wish Sonos would respect their customers' privacy by allowing an option to share location and personal information or not.

I'm just using the bar now for my TV. It's ok for theater, but 20x better for music to play through Bluetooth. Will have to splurge and get the Arc next for the sound for movies.
