It was an easy setup for sure. Not sure if we have something set wrong but the sound is not as good as we were hoping. The base sound is weak. We want to use it to enhance our TV sound, but just not there.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Wireless Surround Sound
Cons: Poor Sound Quality

It sounds ok. Nothing special. I find having to use my phone to control it a real pain. I cannot figure out how to turn it off.
Pros: None of the above.
Cons: Difficult to Use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Connected by optical to Samsung TV. Sound is great but I can not get my remote controls to work for the sound function (increase/decrease volume nor mute). Looking to return Beam Gen2.
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound
Bought the beam to be used in a vacation condo where I do not want to add a sub because of downstairs neighbors. The bass is very weak in the beam when compared to a Play 5, or even a Playbase. It'll be fine for the smaller space but wish it was a little more richer in sound on its own. Not sure why they can't make a TV soundbar sound as good as the Five.
Pros: Size
Cons: Difficult To Setup, Poor Sound Quality, Poor connection instructions
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good for movies, bad for music

I feel underwhelmed by the Beam gen 2. It does not produce clear mid range and treble. Its audio quality feels pretty much the same as my TV speakers, except some surround sound and added bass. However, after adding the Sub mini, the experience got better. For movies especially, the surround sound is great. But for music, audio quality still lacks clarity. This review is after a week tuning it with TruePlay.
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup
Cons: Poor Sound Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought Beam Gen 2 for the Atmos feel looks like it's not up to the mark and might need 2 additional speakers and maybe a Sub too. So it's all very expensive if you looking for a quality system.
