I asked the sales rep if the product was a good choice for dialogue. He said emphatically it is. I still have to use subtitles to get the dialogue. I'm sure it's a good product but it's not what I thought it would be.
Complicated to set up......definitely not user friendly. .overhyped by sales personnel.
Cons: Difficult To Setup, Difficult to Use, Poor Sound Quality, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall good sound on low and for movies. When listening to music, the 2 Ikea Sonos speakers, and one SL drowns out the sound bar. Best for a bedroom. Even in a small NYC apartment, the beam is underwhelming. Also, using Alexa with this unit is NOT reliable.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use
Cons: Poor Sound Quality, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tried using the Beam (Gen2) as a sound bar with LG OLED 65" TV; unfortunately these devices are not completely compatible. If I want the sound bar to work, I can't use the TV remote to control other devices; or I can disconnect the sound bar, and use the TV remote with other devices (Xbox, etc.). Sound quality seemed OK.
Cons: Difficult to Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this product to help with my hearing issues when using the sound system from my Samsung TV. The issue being during a movie or example the soft speaking part I had trouble hearing it. I had to turn up the volume, then the action part was way too loud. The sales person said he has this product and solved this issue for volume. I does re-direct the sound better put really doesn't do much for the other issues. Volume still needs to be adjusted constantly. Unless I am using it wrong.
In order to be able to utilize this system appropriately, my TV would have to have an HDMI arc. My TV is old enough that I don't have that HDMI feature. As an alternative it's suggested that I can use the fiber optic cord. However I have, plugged in to that feature, a very important hearing aid connection. I guess I need one more alternative for properly connecting My Home theater speaker.
Cons: Difficult To Setup

I bought the Beam after looking on several sites that rate the home theatre units. I was impressed with the reviews and pulled the trigger. After hooking it up, I found myself wanting a little more bass in the TV and music realm. I like everything about it but was left a little short on the depth and crispness of sound. I think it may be due to the next step being the sub package which in our livling/ family room I didn't think I was necessary.
