Sonos sets itself apart by making their devices seamlessly easy to set up and use even when pairing with other brands' devices. I'm no technology expert and I had this up and running as a soundbar on my new Sony Bravia 7 tv in no time. Seamless single controller use. Incredible sound with clear voice which is a big deal for me.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound
I'm 68 and I've noticed that my hearing has become slightly worse. I had an older model LG soundbar hooked up to my TV in our family room. I was having problems making out some words and my wife always complains that the TV's too loud. I recently replaced the old sound bar with a Sonos Beam. It immediately solved both problems. The sound is crisp and clear and I no longer have trouble making out the words spoken. And my wife has stopped complaining about the volume because I am able to keep it law. Sonos products are high-end and more expensive. I walked away from buying the Beam soundbar several times before finally taking the plunge. But I'm glad I got it. What price should I put on being able to hear everything? I rate this soundbar a clear winner. I am delighted with the performance so far.
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound

This is an unreliable product, second one replaced by customer support and keeps having issues that they admit are known issues that get past QC. Only answer is for me to replace the product by sending it back to them. Avoid this one.
Pros: Easy to Set Up
Cons: Poor Sound Quality, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've been living with the stock TV speakers for over a year since they are decent but our family room is the most room of the house. I finally started testing out speaker bars which I've avoided in the past due to output limitations but Sonos made me a convert. Their demo won by a landslide given the performance for the price. Everything was impressive. The low end notes are fuller than any other speaker bar I tried in that price range. I had the store employee replay the movie/music/game demo without the Gen 3 subwoofer and it still sounded amazing. We started with the just bar but we're going to add the subwoofer for Christmas since my autistic son sings and dances for hours in front of it. Best money I've spent for him but I wish I had done it sooner.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Night Mode, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Versatile

I think its terrible that I have to have a split system with some speakers on a different network. I have some S1 and S2 speakers on one network using the S1 app, and the newest S2 speaker on a different network using the S2 app because apparently only some S2 speakers can be on the S1 network and others have to be on the S2 app. This is a TERRIBLE USER EXPERIENCE. Shame on you Sonos. Because of this nonsense I had to fully unplug all my speakers on the S1 app to install speakers on the S2 app even though the Sonos customer service person told me I could just put the S2 app on a different SSID.. which never worked. To unplug my speakers I had to get a ladder and move furniture.. took hours of trouble shooting with customer support and unplugging stuff to get my new S2 speaker on the S2 app. Such a waste of my time and now I don't get to take advantage of Sonos's main value prop of grouping this speaker with the ones on the S1 app. Why don't I just put everything on the S2 app you say??? Well.. that would cost me another $2K to upgrade all my older speakers. The 30% off to upgrade S1 speakers isn't enough.. should be more like 80% if you are going to force such a bad experience on us if we don't upgrade. Really Sonos... I can't believe you thought this was a good idea.
