I tried three less expensive options including a Bose TV Speaker and returned all three. The Sonos is hands down the better choice for great sound and flexibility!
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound
I bought the Gen 2 Beam with mini subwoofer because my spouse was having trouble hearing conversations on our TV without raising the volume to uncomfortable levels. I had previously purchased a Sonos 5 years ago and was very happy with that speaker. The Gen 2 Beam did not disappoint! It was easy to set up through the Sonos App and I was listening to great sounds in no time. I also easily added my Spotify account and Sirius XM account so I could just listen to music through this system. I couldn't be happier with the results!
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound
I recently purchased a new Samsung OLED tv with supports for eARC. I decided to upgrade from beam gen 1 (which is ARC) to beam gen 2 (with support for eARC). I also purchased 2 - Cinnamon AudioQuest HDMI cables, sound is no different than first gen (almost worse) and half the time doesn't connect. I will be returning. The app can't find it.
Initial set up was good, 2 days later audio wouldn't play. Apple TV gen3 Samsung tv through eArc. Reset tv and Apple TV. All software up to date. Audio worked for 1 day then stopped. Tried my old audio setup again with no issues. We returned the device as no troubleshooting methods helped and many reviews on Reddit with same issues.
Cons: Difficult To Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable
I purchased the beam for the tv in my bedroom and haven't regretted it. This soundbar puts out amazing sound. I am considering a woofer to go with it, but really not sure I need it because I get such good sound without it. Would reccommed this soundbar!
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Night Mode, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound
We were looking to upgrade our current system. We compared the Sonos Ray and Beam sound bars. The Beam provided a much fuller sound for all uses. Both were clear and sharp, but we liked the fullness of the Beam sound bar.
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Night Mode, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Versatile, Wireless Surround Sound
I bought the white one. The size is great, the sound quality is superb, and the setup is easy with the Sonos S2 app. I highly recommend this product. It's pricey but worth it.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Superior Sound, Versatile, Wireless Surround Sound
