This is the best soundbar in its size and price category. This is a great product to improve the tinny sound that many TVs have, especially for movies and sports. Although ideal for smaller rooms, it does get loud and the sound does not get distorted. The quality of the sound is open and detailed, making it a great way to listen to streaming music over WIFI, as well as any online content such as YouTube. Things I Would Change/Improve: 1. It needs to have a way of turning it off. You do not need the big sound on all the time, you should be able to turn the device on and off. 2. App volume is a slider. It would be great to if it had an alternative where you could see numbers for the volume instead. 3. It offers to delay to sync the sound to the TV. However, I don't know if it would be possible to accelerate the sound a little bit, like 1 or 2 increments, without ruining the sound. 4. Although the sound is great for a soundbar of its size, I would like for the bass to be a little less boomy and more tight.

Cons: No on/off option

I have bose 700 soundbar too. Sonos beam gen 2 sound way much better than that. However i haven't experienced any dolby atmos sound effects. May be ill have to add sonos OneSL to experience that. How ever the sound is great and definitely sonos wins it

After doing hours of research on sound bars to upgrade our TV sound, I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing the Beam. I couldn't be more pleased with the sound quality and power this low-profile sound bar provides. The Sonos App allows you to seamlessly adjust volume (night mode has been a life saver for when we want to watch movies at night in our small apartment), EQ levels, and more. The speech enhancing setting is another useful function that actually works! If we ever move to our own house, I plan on purchasing the Sonos Arc and subwoofer!

This is my 2nd Sonos product, the first being a One SL that came with my new construction house. I was cautious after reading some of the reviews but since I was so pleased with how the One sounded I thought I would give it a shot. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, it is perfect for the master bedroom and I imagine that it would do an excellent job in a larger room depending on the size of course. Take a chance and I think that you will be satisfied, especially for the cost and if your not satisfied Sonos has a 90 day return policy.

I truly am a musician and have always been very "picky" about sound quality. The 2nd Gen Beam is really great at delivering high quality sound without overkill. Meaning, the bass is great and the treble is ideal. I don't need the subwoofer here in my average sized bedroom. There is nothing in my ears that says I need anything more than what this soundbar delivers. Love the compactness of it. Truly delighted and satisfied. The Sonos app was easy to use to facilitate the set up. Thank you.

I have hearing aids that are not very good. Before the Beam we had to have the volume on the TV too loud for my wife and I could barely hear it. We invested in the Beam 2nd and it is FANTASTIC. Now my wife asks me to turn it up a little bit and I can hear it crystal clear at the low volume. The voice enhancement is a bit too shrill for me but my wife can't really hear a difference when I turn it on!!! Set-up was simple. The app is great. Streaming is wonderful.
