It has been one of the best value buy for me. This is not like my hi-fi system but for the money you are getting extremely decent amount of sound quality that you can pair with your tv and even music from your phone. This got to be one of the best sound bar out there.

Happy with the ARC connection vs my prior sound bar. A little disappointed with the time it takes to hear sound when the video starts to play sometimes. Maybe a software or firmware update could improve this.

Beam + Ikea surround speakers = Xcellent

Breathtakingly simple to install, great sound. Beam is a fine speaker, and when you add surround speakers, you have great deep sound, with clarity, filling a room that isn't large, but 27 feet high. Two ways in which the product could be even simpler: Currently Sonos voice doesn't work with Spotify - this is a shame, as some of us have developed comprehensive playlists on that app, and we're not leaving it any time soon. Second, the instructions for setting up speakers through the phone app could be clearer. Also, linking the system to other apps, such as Audible or Spotify, should also be clearer. Sometimes when I switch to one of these apps the speakers no longer connect to the TV, and I have to reboot the router to get it all reconnected. Also, there's no tweaking for treble and bass or sound shapes, other than two quick tools that promote voice and quieter sounds. Other than that, fine product.

Cons: Difficult To Setup

We had hoped to use this product to help an older gentleman to be able to hear his tv better. And it does achieve this although we may need to add a speaker behind where he sits. The volume in the store though was much greater than we are able to achieve though. It's hooked up optically and the volume limiter is set to off.

I am very impressed with the sound quality of the Beam(2nd Gen). I recently downgraded from The Arc to Beam. I was worried how well the sound quality would match. The Beam(Gen2) exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this product especially if living in a small apartment in NYC. Sonos keep up the great work!
