Hi I'm not real keen with having to use your app to run the sound bar. I can't get it to work with my TV or with my Bluetooth. I used to have a whole house system and didn't have any problems with your app. I listen to Simple Radio online and you don't have that as an option to connect so that's a drag. So I'm not really even using it because I have to call tech-support
I bought the Beam and Arc at the same time. The Beam is used downstairs where I have a 65" TV and vaulted ceilings in my home. This little guy hits so hard that the sound is so rich in all of the adjacent rooms! The Arc is in an enclosed room, but has more speakers yet the Beam sounds just as impressive in a bigger space. Recommend!
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Night Mode, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Versatile, Wireless Surround Sound
I would buy it again and will add to system! At same time I would have liked more insight into the fact it's not compatible with many products! My Samsung tv disconnects all the time, I've been told it's an "issue" after the fact.. for the price these issues should not happen or at least be fixed through software upgrades etc. great sound!
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Versatile, Wireless Surround Sound
I wanted a one piece sound bar to add to my new OLED TV. This one was more than I wanted to spend, but the sound was far superior to the less espensive alternatives.
I bought this originally just for sim racing due to its low profile and I'm very convinced after listening for awhile that Sonos is indeed famous for its music playback. I have a Samsung Q990B soundbar system and listening to music to be honest is not way off. What stand out from most soundbars I had before (Samsung q990b, Bose 900) is the layers you get to hearing from music playback. Sometime I'm surprised some of the little details get brought out but not from other soundbars etc. I'll definitely pair this with Sub Mini though to get more clear base and free up resource for mid and highs from soundbar itself. For movie watching, it's not bad for a soundbar that does not have dedicated high channels. You get some levels of high from the side speakers bouncing off the wall etc and Atmos is punchy on sound affects and clear on Dialogs. The sound stage is where it stands out the most compared to other soundbars I've listens to. Here's the catch: Maybe it's just for my use case (LG C3 + beam Gen2 connected to eARC + 2.4G WiFi enabled for AirPlay 2) whenever I switched back from 5.1 or Atmos (mostly movie watching) and 7.1 PCM (from console gaming) to 2.1 stereo watching YouTube, I get constant dropouts every 3-5s for around 200ms or so. I tried everything I can think of but the ultimate trick is to either set my TV to stereo instead of Passthrough (at the cost of sound quality for 2.1 PCM) or just do a restart of TV... this is very annoying and only happens when I switch from higher level of sound channels to YT 2.1. Could be comparability issue with LGs but not so sure. That's the reason I've taken 1 star off from this review.
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup, Speech enhancement, Versatile
Cons: Drop outs on YouTube 2.1 PCM, even connected to
We purchased the sonos beam. The sound is great; especially for instrumental music. We compared it side by side a Bose TV Speaker soundbar and Polk Signa S4 soundbar and it truly has superior sound. It paired easily with our tv. It's a little lame that you're required to download another app. It's very disappointing that this device doesn't have a line-in or AUX port. It's even more disappointing that it doesn't support Bluetooth. These are very basic user requirements. It seems like they are trying to force you into things like Apple does. Until they incorporate at least one of those features, we won't own one.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Difficult To Setup, No AUX or line-in, No Bluetooth
