on my TV so I'm anxious to hear the difference when I get the new TV. I am guessing I don't get the full surround Dolby effect because of that. I like the voice activation as launching the app and navigating it (which I find a tad difficult) makes things easier. That and the subwoofer are great additions to my Sonos sound system.
The soundbar sounds great when it is connected to TV, unfortunetly every time you turn your TV off ( I have a Samsung S90C OLED ) the TV disconnects from soundbar. No Trueplay for Android phones. Why would Sonos make a soundboard that actually sounds good, and then neglect the most important items...connection, compatability, and fine tuning. Too bad, but these issues are deal breakers for me.
I really like the Gen 2 Beam, now that I figured out to the EQ. Very nice round, full sound for our bedroom TV. Not sure the price is justifiable though but all of their products are spendy. Now I'm looking into complete home theater for my main setup in the family room. Definitely a small footprint compared to my existing 5.1 with towers in the front. I'm really looking forward to saying goodbye to the ugly wires extended around the room to my surround speakers. It's going to look and sound top shelf!
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound
Bought a Sony soundbar for my new Sony tv. Bad move. I was immediately disappointed. The Geek Squad offered to return it and recommended the Sonos. Night and day difference! Love it!
Pros: Dolby Digital 5.1, Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound
