I have another Sonos sound bar that we purchased approximately 3 years ago. The new sound bar is not as good as the older model. Disappointed - I would not have payed more for the Sonos bar if I had known how lacking it would be.
Completely changed (for the better) the sound quality of our TV. The bar works seamlessly with Spotify and actually integrates easily with the Sonos app. I thought my wife would be less than enthused given the cost but when she heard it, she was amazed and even commented, " wow, I am glad you bought this". So, super happy with the bar and would definitely recommend, two thumbs up.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound
It is easy to switch between my phone, my wife's phone, to the computer and then to the CD player connected to our smart tv. Love the sound and looking into adding more speakers soon
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound, Versatile
The Beam Gen2 is a scientific marvel. In my living room it wasn't powerful enough to make it worth the price. Would benefit from a subwoofer. Connection and tuning are straight forward. My primary desire was clear dialogue. I was replacing a Polk Mini Magifi. The dialogue was not significantly better even with speech enhancement. I returned the Sonos and will continue my research. May have to save up for the Sonos Arc, or the Bose Soundbar Ultra.
Soundbar is simple to set up. There is no remote but none needed since you can configure with phone app and then control with TV remote. I actually prefer that this had just the one sound mode setting that seems to strike a good balance for various sources. With the others I tested, I kept having to change mode setting to be satisfied when switching from sports, news, movies, etc. Downsides are that I occasionally notice small lip sync issues. In addition, my Samsung Series 6 TV does not recognize the soundbar through the hdmi as it did the Visio and Samsung devices I tested first. I just get this annoying 'HDMI Receiver' label on screen when I adjust volume with TV remote. Also, note that this soundbar is designed to stay on and is not power off with TV on/off like others,
Pros: Easy To Setup, No need for remote, Speech enhancement, Versatile
Cons: No integrated sound settings on TV, Occasional Lip Sync Issue, TV doesn't read Sonos model info via HDMI eARC
