Picked this up for our family room where we watch most of our tv. We have a dedicated home theater and sound out of the tv in the family room is so shallow I had to do something. I tried a tv branded sound bar but it wasn't good at all, truly not much better than sound out of the tv and it wasn't a cheap one. Decided to give the Sonos Beam a try and it did not disappoint. Even without a subwoofer the sound is so much fuller and voice is so much better. I'm quite surprised with the response of the Beam. It's not true surround or Dolby Atmos, but the effect from its digital processing on the spatial image of the sound catches me by surprise at times. And no, it's not close to true home theater or Atmos, but you do get an amazing amount of room filling sound out of a small bar. I wouldn't doubt I pick up the mini sun in the near future. The voice control is nice and they claim they aren't keeping track of you as some other devices do. Linking my SiriusXM subscription was simple and I expect linking other music services will be just as easy. I do wish voice control worked with SiriusXM but that's s small complaint. The app is easy to setup and use, no hiccups like I had with the tv branded sound bar app. Finally, voice enhancement works very well, very clear without being overpowering, still keeps a good balance. Now I hope it lasts many years and not just 2 or 3.

Great Sound Bar

We use it for the TV and streaming from our iPhones. The other night there was a scene with dialog and soft background music and the separation between the two was amazing. The dialog was clear and the music was very much in the background as it was supposed to be. We added a One SL to an adjacent room. That makes it nice when we are steaming music or listening to a podcast and moving around the house.

Clear sound with TV - Sonos app (recently updated) is acting up and I've reset it numerous times, but can control the system easily with desktop app.

I wanted something that had great sound, and I like the fact that it had Dolby Atmos. The sound is great, especially for movies with a lot of varied noises ( action, war movies, etc) I only have two complaints... When utilizing my Apple Music the volume could stand to be a little louder. Also, Google assistant does not support Apple Music, so I can not request my music using the assistant.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Google assistant doesn't support Apple Music.

Installed the Beam for my smart bike trainer and 65" TV. Initially the sound was blaring right at me from four feet away. When I paired my two Play 1's as rear surround speakers and then did the Trueplay thing to calibrate the system to the room, the results were awesome. The sound fills the room instead of knocking me off of my bike. Glad I didn't sell those Play 1's after all.

It is great for watching movies and just news and music sound great. Very clear and crisp. The subwoofers are powerful and delivery great sound effects. Rock metal sound very good - don't have this boom box sound that bose speakers deliver (have couple and their sound wave radio). Sonos won me over. I originally purchased ray (I don't hav elarge space and price was appealing) which was great too but wanted atmos for 4k movies (if you have tv with arc and players capable). Beam is a keeper. Sonos support is great . They answer quickly and are not annoying .

Long overdue upgrade of my sound system

After upgrading my old plasma tv to a 4K, it was time to also upgrade my speakers. As our living room is small, I bought the Beam gen 2 and have retired some older bookshelf and surround speakers as well as an old receiver. The sound quality is really good. Would be nice to add a Sonos sub down the road.

I paired this little sound bar with a Sub Mini, and it's transformed couch-time. Movies sound unbelievable now, but what's even better is how good my music sounds; so much depth and clarity from such a tiny package. I just need some auxiliary speakers to get more spatial panning. But, wow, dance party at my house!
