I bought this to try and downsize and simplify my audio setup in our living room. The sound for voices in TV and Movies was great. Very crisp and clear. Sound effects however sounded thin and weak. Not enough bass and depth to the sound. Music similarly was fine for vocals but instruments lacked depth and sounded harsh.
Pros: Crisp clear dialogue, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Wireless
I would try other Sonos devices. Liked this one a lot.

The sound quality is better compared to similar product of JBL or Bose. I went to the store to buy Bose but after listening to Sonos Beam bought this on impulsive shopping.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Direct streaming from Google Home not supported.
I am using the Beam 2 on my Mac via Airplay 2. The sound for movies is excellent as is Apple spatial music. There's no small e-arc monitors/tvs available at the moment, so I can't fully utilize the speaker. I'm hoping that more manufacturers start adding e-arc to their devices moving forward. In the meantime, I am enjoying what it currently offers and look forward to having Dolby Atmos surround in future.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
This Beam (Gen2) soundbar delivers more sound than i need, if i didnt have neighbours i could play my movies and music louder than normal. My room is fairly large as I'm in an open concent condo so the room is 20' X 30' and the beam is more than adequate. I like that i can configure it for night time and voice enhancement. Also it's unobtrusive.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Nighttime mode, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Voice enhancement, Wireless
