We have it plugged in to our TV in the upstairs family room as it allows us to use Google Assistant and Audible without having to turn the TV on. We were hoping for better sound while watching TV but it's indistinguishable from the built in speakers on my Sony X90 TV. Paired with the sub adds a little low range but meh, the mids are still thin. But as a smart speaker, it's great. So if all you really want is a better alternative to a Google Home or Alexa device then this is it.
