Beautiful, but Frustratingly Tied Down

It looks great, the display is crisp, and it handles basic tasks—like tracking workouts, checking texts, and setting reminders—really well. Galaxy AI adds some helpful features, like smarter notifications and health insights, which feel promising.
But unless you’re fully locked into the Samsung ecosystem, the experience is uneven. The watch pushes you toward Samsung apps that often feel half-baked or unreliable, and third-party support is limited. If you’re not already using a Samsung phone, expect friction.
Battery life is another downside. Daily charging makes sleep tracking tricky, and it adds a layer of stress to something that should simplify your day. For a device meant to run in the background of your life, it asks for too much attention.
Bottom line: If you’re already deep in Samsung’s world and excited about Galaxy AI, this might work for you. But for everyone else, the limited compatibility and constant charging are hard to ignore.
Would I recommend it? Only if you’re all-in on Samsung—and okay with its quirks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy AI on this watch makes it the best watch I've owned. I love the energy score in the morning. I also love how it tries to help me with workouts and making sure I can do simple things to meet my goals. The battery life is awesome, I average 2 days with heavy usage. It's durable and charges so quickly!

Better than expected

I decided to get the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 since I have a Samsung S23+ phone and I would be able to use more features. I am overall pleased with the Watch 7. However, I do wish the battery lasted a little longer but I wouldn't trade it. #GalaxyAI

Controlling Spotify, receiving specific notifications and even the Samsung Health is more intuitive and can easily be accessed on the watch. Highly recommend this for anyone!
