Terrific support but might be too firm for some

I am 5'10 and weigh about 220 pounds. with a long torso and short legs. I also have degenerative disc disease in my lower spine and was looking for a seat with excellent back support. Chose this chair (after trying about 25 others in the store) because it just "felt right." While a bit firm it offered the back support I was looking for while enforcing good posture. Assembly was drop-dead-simple with clear instructions and all the parts required in the box. I liked that most of the packaging materials were recyclable with little left over waste. While the seat has turned out to be incredible for my back the seat is so firm I find myself having to take breaks every hour or so. Since you really should get up and move around at least once an hour anyway when working for extended periods I consider this a minor inconvenience. Also of note is that while the casters move easily on carpet they tend to not pivot around as easily when on a chair mat. While none of this was enough reason for me to return the chair it knocked one star off the review and is worth noting for those who want a cushy chair or intend to use the chair with a mat. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

Broke in pieces

I had this chair less than two years. Just today I went to sit and it literally cracked in pieces. I weigh more than 100 pounds below the weight limit.

First day I sat on it the staples holding the mesh seat came loose. The mesh seat isnt detached but the staples are visable and feelable. I bought the warrantee but since it happened on day #1 I question if it's just going to happen again and havent returned it yet. Not exactly convenient to return something and wait for a new one when this one is brand new. Still contemplating what I'm going to do
