I have used this chair less than 6 months for my office. I am just shy of 200 lbs. The seat is pulling apart with the staples falling out from normal use. Not acceptable for a $200 office chair. Called Staples to get help and they won't do anything in the store if you don't purchase an extended warranty. I'll contact the manufacturer... but I won't buy another office chair from a company that doesn't stand behind their own branded office chair. Frustrating for sure... buy something else.
Rated for 275, but I am 200 and it started to separate within the first 3 weeks. Chair surface pulled away from side, exposing staples, and multiple times trying to stuff it back in hasn't solved the issue. One may need to be returned/exchanged.
This chair has a few flaws that make it very uncomfortable. Firstly its not described as a chair only for tall people but even at the lowest seat height my feet do not touch the ground flat. I am 5'8 so there are a lot of people shorter than I. In addition, regardless of height, not being able to lower the seat more makes your legs hit your computer keyboard shelf that slides out from under your desk. Secondly, the fabric on the seat and back feel like sandpaper. If you move to reposition yourself while sitting it will scrap or cut you. Lastly, the lumbar is made of hard plastic and regardless of how you adjust it pushes hard into your spine. It should have at least some padding on it.
Excellent chair. Easy to put together, easier to sit in and enjoy. Immediate comfort to a home office renovation. Bought two of them and they are incredibly sturdy, comfortable and blend in perfectly.
