The reason for ANY chair is comfort and support and this model has a reasonable amount of options for most sizes of people. My primary reason for buying THIS chair is the mesh base/seat as well as back. My workspace can get pretty "warm" at times so I wanted a chair as cool and breathable as possible for those times. So far it's working out well. I haven't done a direct "side by side comparison" to confirm how much cooler the fully mesh chair is vs. my older chair with similar features but a padded seat base (mesh back) but I am happy with this new chair so far.

Although somewhat tough to put together (it's heavy and awkward) by yourself all parts and tools needed are included. It is adjustable in several ways but is really comfortable and easy to sit in and to get out of. I would recommend it for anyone needing a good chair for working on the computer at a drawing board or at a desk.
